Usage Log

A report of the history of the resources used for a particular subscription

This is a report of the log/history of the resources used for a particular subscription on a custom date or billing frequency.

This can be accessed from the Quick Links section of the respective subscription profile.

The Usage Log link will direct you to the page where you can view the usage of the various resources associated to that particular subscription.

This page will display the following:-

  • Customer name

  • Subscription name

  • Plan type

  • Subscription status

  • Current billing frequency

  • Reference ID

  • Details of usage log

The Usage Log Section of this page will display the following:-

  • Drop-down menu listing the resources associated with that particular subscription

  • Drop-down menu listing the usage date that maybe either the current billing frequency or a custom date

Here, you can view the log of the different resources associated with that subscription. You can select the resource for which you would like to see the log from the Resources drop-down menu.

You can either view the log details of all the resources by choosing All Resources or just that of the selected resource.

After choosing the resource, you can choose the Usage Date which can either be the Current Billing Frequency or on a Custom Date.

Current Billing Frequency

Here, the usage of the resource of the current billing frequency will be displayed and the billing frequency and usage range here will remain the same.

The following details of the usage of that particular resource will be displayed here:-

  • Name of the resource - The resource for which you want to view the usage details

  • Calculation type - The calculation type used by the resource for invoicing

  • Usage - The total number of resources used against this particular subscription in the selected usage date

  • Used - The total number of resources used out of the maximum available resources in the subscription.

  • Usage date - The date during which the particular resource has been used

  • Reported date - The date in which the usage was reported

  • Value - Total value of the resources used

Opening balance will be shown only if the calculation type used is a ledger type.

Previous Billing Frequency

Here, the usage log of the resource(s) against the previous billing frequency can be filtered.

Custom Date

This will display the usage of the resource in the selected date range. This date range may belong to just a particular billing frequency or may belong to multiple billing frequencies.

If the custom date range belong to just one particular billing frequency, then the billing date and usage range will remain the same.

In case the custom date falls in more than one billing frequencies, then usage of the resource for each of these frequencies will be listed.
