How to pause your subscription?

Enter the profile page of the customer’s subscription that has been bought from the merchant.

Click on the PAUSE SUBSCRIPTION option from the MANAGE drop down.

This will take you to the following flyout where you will be given three ways to pause your subscription.

  • Immediate

  • End of current billing cycle

  • Custom

Let's discuss each of these in detail.

Pause the subscription IMMEDIATELY

This is the case of wanting to pause your subscription immediately. Here the pause date cannot be changed and it will appear as the day on which you have decided to pause this subscription. However, you can decide the resume date on which you would like to finally resume this subscription. But this too is not mandatory.

In case of specifying a resume date

The resume date should always be a future date and once you have chosen it you can go ahead and save it.

The following confirmation window will pop up to once again confirm the pause and resume date.

Click on OK to proceed further.

Now a banner will appear on the subscription profile page that will display the date on which this subscription has been paused along with the provided resume date.

The RESUME link on this banner will allow you to resume this paused subscription.

Clicking on this RESUME link will take you to the below flyout. Here, you can specify when you want to resume this subscription. This can be either – immediately or on a custom date.

Click on IMMEDIATE and the resume date will by default be displayed as the current date.

Click on SAVE and a confirmation pop-up window will once again confirm this resume date.

Click on OK and the subscription will now return to the active state.

Pause the subscription on a CUSTOM date

In this case you can specify a future date on which you would like to pause your subscription along with a future resume date too. Both these dates are mandatory while choosing the custom option to pause your subscription.

Click on SAVE and a pop up confirming your pause and resume date will show up.

Click on OK and the subscription will appear with the pause and resume date and also with the EDIT and CANCEL PAUSE link.

These links will also appear in the Manage drop-down menu.

Edit link

The Edit link here will allow you to change both the pause and resume date. Here, you can also change the custom date option too to either immediate or end of current billing cycle.

Click on SAVE and a pop-up window confirming the new dates will appear.

The new dates will appear as a block in the subscription profile page.

Cancel Pause link

Clicking here will take you to a confirmation pop up that will confirm the pause cancellation.

Click on YES on this pop up and the banner that specified the pause and subscription dates will disappear from the subscription profile page.

Click on NO and this action will be aborted.

End of current billing cycle

While choosing End of current billing cycle to pause your subscription, the following window will pop up where the pause subscription date will remain inactive. The pause subscription date will be captured as the end date of the current billing cycle of this subscription. Here, you can specify only the resume date.

Click on SAVE and a pop-up confirming the above action will appear.

Click on OK and a banner specifying the pause and resume date along with the edit and cancel pause links will appear on the profile page of the subscription.

Edit link

Click on the EDIT link and you will be taken to a flyout where you can edit only the resume date.

Click on SAVE after changing the resume date and the new resume date will appear in the banner of the subscription profile page.

Cancel Pause

Click on the cancel pause link and a pop up confirming this function will appear.

Click on YES and the banner that specified the pause and resume dates will disappear from the subscription profile page.

Click on NO and this action will be aborted and the above-mentioned banner will stay as it is.
