Non-Usage and Usage Flat Pricing Plan

The following are the steps you need to follow to create the pricing section for non-usage and usage flat pricing model. The steps to create this pricing section is common to both usage and non-usage.

Let’s examine how this works.

  • Choose the resource for which you would like to charge your customer.

  • State the minimum and maximum quantity of the resource

  • Select the unit by which this resource will be measured.

  • Define the price per unit against the selected frequency.

  • Continue to define the price per unit for all the available frequencies associated with that product.

  • Click on +Add Another Resource to add several resources to this plan.

  • In case the resource of your choice is not mentioned in the drop-down list, click +Add New Resource

  • In the flyout, enter the Parameter and select the Calculation Type from the dropdown menu.

  • Check Is Unit Level Enforceable? if applicable.

  • Check Is Decimal Allowed? if the resource quantity can be in decimal.

  • Click Save to add the new resource to the dropdown menu for future use.

  • In this manner, you can add several resources and the customer can choose his/her desired resource.

REVENUE AS RESOURCE

When 'Revenue' is chosen as the resource, a secondary dropdown labeled 'Price Per Unit' will appear. In this 'Price Per Unit' dropdown, users can select between 'Percentage' or 'Currency.'

ADDITIONAL PRICING SECTION

  • Label: Add a label or description for the additional pricing.

  • Price: Enter the price for all the different frequencies.

  • Create several Prices for all the available frequencies, by clicking on the +Add Frequency

ONE-TIME PRICING

This is the one-time price charged for the product for its initial purchase and hence this charge will not recur based on the billing frequencies.

  • Label: Give name to the item that will charged on one-time basis

  • Price: Set the price for this item

  • Create the different One-Time prices using the +New One-Time

  • After entering these details, click on Create Plan

  • Now, the plan will be created using the above details.

You will now be redirected to a page where you can add resources and features. This is not mandatory to publish a plan. You can go ahead and publish the plan even without adding resources or features to it.

ADD AND MANAGE RESOURCES

Here, you can add any additional resource that you would like to attach to this pricing plan.

  • Resource – This will define the basis on which the resource is defined.

  • Quantity – Define the number or quantity of this resource here.

  • Unit – Choose the unit by which you will define the resource.

  • Per Unit/Shared – Here, you can define if the customer will be charged for each of the purchased resources individually or if he/she will be charged for the total number of resources purchased.

  • Resources based on – Choose the desired resource.

  • Click on Save to make sure the additions that you have made is now attached to the new plan that you have created.

  • To add multiple resources to this plan, click on +Add New Row and choose your new resource from the drop-down menu

  • To add a new resource that is not listed in the drop-down menu, click on +Add New Resource

  • In the flyout, enter the Parameter and select the Calculation Type from the dropdown menu.

  • Check Is Unit Level Enforceable? if applicable.

  • Check Is Decimal Allowed? if the resource quantity can be in decimal.

  • Click Save to add the new resource to the dropdown menu for future use.

In this manner, you can add several resources and the customer can choose his/her desired resource.

ADD FEATURES

Here you can add any additional features that you would like to attach to your product.

  • Click +Add New Feature to add a new feature

  • Click on Save to make sure that this feature has been added to the plan.

  • In case the feature of your choice is not available in the drop down, click +Add New Feature.

  • A flyout will appear in which you can create a new feature.

  • Here you can give the new feature a name and description and then save it.

  • This new feature will now appear in the drop-down menu and you can add it to this pricing plan.

  • Now you have created the pricing plan and added the necessary resources and features to it. This plan is now ready to be published.

  • Click on the Publish Plan button to publish it.
